I like to race cars. A lot. My personal quest is to successfully compete every major discipline of motorsport, and just about have. Pictured, one of the fastest vehicles I've been able to drive, my test session with the Caterham SP300R.

Needless to say Ive been doing it a while. Started off with competitive karting around 11, by 14 I was competing in an adult karting league and had the chance to design a few autocross courses for Atlanta-area BMWCCA Autocrosses, as my father ran most of the events during that time. Started track days around 15 in a Caterham Super7 SV, set up for AutoX. At 16 I got my SCCA License and we acquired a Full-Race Caterham Seven prepared for SCCA's E-Production class, which I have raced with my team, Sublime Racing, ever since.

Besides campaigning my E-Prod Caterham for the last 5 years or so, Ive also had the chance to be competitive in just about every form of motorsport out there, including autocross, time trials, amateur rallying, spec-racing, and of course road racing with the SCCA. The only thing I have yet to get my hands on is drifting, that is if don't count hooning on the street... Either way, I'll be getting around to a drift event sometime in the future.

I plan on writing multiple short articles about my endeavors in different forms of motor sport, from the simple track day to rallycross, and of course the maniacal and epic struggle that is the 24Hours of Lemons, which produced this epic photo

In the meantime, what experience does Oppo have with the track?

Nice! I haven't raced competitively since I was 13 or so, when I DNF'd an enduro (dirt bikes) with a mechanical failure :/ got the holeshot though! Dad sold my bike shortly after because my younger sister lost interest and he didn't want to make her feel left out.

Since I got my motorcycle license a few years ago, I've been doing track days, and I'll be doing HPDEs with my new car.

Other than just doing trackdays, it's all spinning wrenches on other peoples' race cars for me. I can't afford to drive. Experience in SCCA Club Racing, World Challenge, SCCA Pro Rally, Rally America, Eurotuner GP, Redline Time Attack, NASA HPDE & Club Racing, NASA Western Endurance Championship, several NASA Thunderhill 25s, Koni Challenge, Tudor GTD, Nurburgring 24. And 1 24 Hours of LeMons in '08. Aiming for Le Mans so I can check off a lifetime goal.

Absolutely none, except a dealership's test track a few years ago.

Awesome, I'm jealous! That picture is... incredible.

I've only done track days so far, but am looking forward to getting into racing at some point. I actually got an invite to join a LeMons/WRL team, but it hasn't worked out for me yet (dut to money/time).

Keep up the dream!
